We took two buses and three trains from Florence to Cinque Terre today with a transfer required in Pisa. The Leaning Tower of Pisa wasn’t high on my list of sights, but if my train literally makes me get out at Pisa, I won’t miss it. It was fun to see it in person and practice silly poses. I miss kickboxing.

I was pretty sick most of the journey. I don’t handle high temperatures well and the trains felt especially bouncy today. Thankfully a nap at my Airbnb made me feel all better and ready for some strenuous hiking.

We are staying in Corniglia, the center of the five coastal towns making up Cinque Terre. It is tiny! Today we hiked to Manorala. 1 km down the coast, but 10 km of grueling mountain climbing to reach it.
